Vero Beach Riomar Honeymoon

Sometimes, I work with a couple that instantly feels like old friends. This was certainly the case with Heather and Joel. Originally from Chattanooga Tennessee, they planned a spontaneous destination engagement photoshoot in Vero Beach, where Joel’s parents are seasonal homeowners. Right off the bat, I knew that Heather and Joel were the perfect couple for me – their fun and outgoing personalities really meshed well with mine! We had planned this session for months, finding the perfect beachside location that has the gorgeous old oaks and winding dirt roads.

But… this story comes with a surprising twist – Heather and Joel spilled the beans that they decided to elope just a few short weeks before their destination engagement session! So SURPRISE! This original engagement session ended up a newlywed honeymoon session! Um – even better, am I right?

So, we spent a few hours running around South Beach Park to get the most amazing portraits. You can totally see that the love between these two just RADIATES. And plus – they are just so dang good looking! And they were such troopers – dealing with the insane heat, ungodly humidity, and even getting in the water fully dressed with Heather’s originally planned wedding dress.

I feel truly blessed to have my day brightened by such an amazing couple. And I cannot wait to follow along with their lives and see their family grow. *Cue tears* Thank you Heather and Joel for an amazing session!
