Making Bride & Groom Portraits a Priority on Your Wedding Day

Running out of time is the biggest reason why couples skip over the bride and groom portraits, so it’s important to plan for at least 30-minutes to an hour for newlyweds to step away and capture wedding day pictures.

Emily & Matt

Today, we’re diving into the heartwarming love story of Emily and Matt, a match made not in heaven, but in their office building’s elevator! From chance meetings to sunny vows, this wedding tale is a mix of romance, laughter, and a touch of tropical unpredictability. So buckle up, because we’re about to take you on a journey that’s all about love, sun, and a sweet fur baby named Olive.

Who said elevators were just for moving between floors? Emily and Matt proved them wrong when they met in September 2021 in the cozy confines of their office building’s elevator. You see, they both work for competing hedge funds, and it took a few elevator chats (and a bit of courage from Matt) to spark a connection. Emily knew Matt was something special right away, but love has a sneaky way of surprising us, doesn’t it? They had matching values, similar families, and a shared dedication to their work. It only took three months of dating for them to realize they were meant to be, with Matt blurting it out first—way to go, Matt!

Picture this: a luxurious beach condo, a radiant sun, and the buzz of excitement. That’s where Emily and Matt’s wedding day began. As they got ready, the anticipation was palpable. But, oh Florida, you cheeky thing! One minute, sunny skies; the next, tropical storm rain. No worries, though, because this couple was all smiles as they headed to St. Helens Catholic Church for their intimate and rain-free ceremony.

After the vows were exchanged, it was off to Kimpton’s Vero Beach Hotel and Spa for the reception of dreams. Imagine an abundance of flowers and a touch of romance that perfectly matched Emily and Matt’s sweet nature. And speaking of sweet, let’s not forget those beach portraits. A wedding by the ocean wouldn’t be complete without a few captures of the newlyweds with the waves as their backdrop.

Details, check. Love, double-check. With 20 of their nearest and dearest by their side, Emily and Matt’s evening was filled with toasts, champagne, oysters, and endless laughter. And guess what? The star of their conversations wasn’t just their epic day—it was also their adorable fur baby, Olive. It’s moments like these that remind us why weddings are so incredibly special.

Emily and Matt’s wedding day was a whirlwind of love, laughter, and sunshine (well, mostly!). From that fateful elevator meeting to their beachside vows, every moment was as magical as the last. As they begin their journey as a married couple, we raise our glasses to Emily and Matt, the duo who prove that love stories can start in the most unexpected places. And a huge thank you to them for letting us be a part of this joyous adventure and capturing memories that will forever warm our hearts. Cheers to forever, love, and the wonderful unpredictability of life! 🥂💕
