Welcome to Salt Marsh Territory
I am so incredibly excited to feature Camila and JD’s impromptu engagement session on the blog today! What a backstory these two have.
So for starters, these two were supposed to be MARRIED already. But unfortunately, due to our current global situation, they had to postpone their beach wedding plans until later in the year. So many of my brides have been faced with similar circumstances.
But you know what? Life works in mysterious ways. And as devastating as it was to have to push back wedding plans, sometimes – it’s just about shifting the perspective. Because on their supposed-to-be wedding day, it was literally pouring! I mean coming down like cats and dogs, guys. We were hit with the craziest thunderstorm I’ve seen in a while. So, can you imagine us all standing on the beach watching poor Camila and JD get pounded by heavy rain? No way.
We decided that since we had so much time to kill before the big day, an engagement photo shoot was in order! Because of JD’s job, we were able to have access to an exclusive privately owned salt marsh, full of NATIVE Vero Beach wildlife! Did you know that succulents grow wild right here in Vero? Because I’ll tell you… I did not!
So for a few hours, we got to hike all through the salt marsh and I got a full education on native plants that I actually pay money to buy from Home Depot. Isn’t that crazy?
Narrowing down my favorite images for the blog was near impossible! There were so many images I loved. These two were just so natural and easy to work with for the camera. Honestly, I’d say like 60% of our time was just laughing at how crazy it was that we were hiking through the tall grass. But how epic are these images?!
