Wedding Day Tips for Florida Brides

It’s become an essential part of my client experience to educate my brides on what works and what does not work for beach weddings in Florida. And now, I am sharing the knowledge!

Planning Your Wedding Day Photography Timeline

Here’s a sample of our wedding photography timeline we suggest to all our Ardensea brides and grooms!

Making Bride & Groom Portraits a Priority on Your Wedding Day

Running out of time is the biggest reason why couples skip over the bride and groom portraits, so it’s important to plan for at least 30-minutes to an hour for newlyweds to step away and capture wedding day pictures.

Best Detail Shots for Your Wedding Day

When it comes to planning out your wedding photography, consider the little details that have a surprisingly big impact. See which shots are absolute must-haves on your wedding day.

Morgan & Zack

Costa d'Este Resort & Spa

A Modern Beach Wedding at Costa d’Este Resort and Spa!

At this point you’re probably thinking, do I ever shoot wedding photography anywhere besides Costa d’Este?  I know!  I’ve had my last 4 weddings there, it’s so crazy! But even though it’s one of my favorite venues, each client brings its own unique story and experience.

Meet Morgan and Zack, a sweet young couple who has traveled to their Florida destination wedding all the way from New Hampshire! How lucky am I to have the privilege of being their wedding photographer of choice?

How they met –

Zack and I met when I was 15 and he was 16. Both our families have summer camps on a lake at the same place. We became friends and eventually started dating when Zack wouldn’t leave me alone. We began dating when I was a sophomore in high school and he was a junior, we also went to different high schools which I think is part of the reason we made it through those awkward high school dating years. We just celebrated our 7th anniversary.

The Proposal –

Zack and I live about a half-mile from the beach. We both grew up right on the coast and absolutely love being there. The beach we live by is seasonal, so during the summer it’s packed with locals and tourists, but during the “off” months, it’s pretty mellow. We love taking walks along the beach when it’s not too busy. So it wasn’t out of the ordinary that Zack asked to go and take a walk down the beach, and get dinner. While we were walking along the sand, Zack stopped and got down on one knee and asked me to marry him.

I honestly don’t remember what he actually said I was so shocked and I instantly starting crying and just yelled “Yes!”

What makes them a great couple –

I think what makes Zack and I’s relationship work so well is our compassion and love we have for each other. We understand how one another work which makes our relationship click perfectly. We both have a great sense of humor which I think you need to have, so we are constantly joking around and making fun of each other in a playful way.

Why Costa d’Este?

Choosing Costa d’Este as their wedding venue was a decision that came to them instantly when seeing the venue. I love when couples tell me that they just get that feeling, the one in your gut where you just know, “this is it.”

My grandparents live in Port Saint Lucie so I have been vacationing there since I was about 7 years old. In May, Zack and I took a vacation and we were staying in Vero Beach. We totally weren’t expecting to book our wedding venue while one vacation. But we fell in love with the area, we already love the beach so when we went and saw Costa d’Este we knew it was the perfect place for us. Everything about it just fit the exact image we had of our wedding.
