Making Bride & Groom Portraits a Priority on Your Wedding Day

Running out of time is the biggest reason why couples skip over the bride and groom portraits, so it’s important to plan for at least 30-minutes to an hour for newlyweds to step away and capture wedding day pictures.

Dreamy Wedding at Crane Club

Courtney and Dylan

I’m super excited to share with you the magical day of Courtney and Dylan at the Crane Club at Tesoro in sunny Port Saint Lucie, Florida. Their love story is straight out of a rom-com, and their wedding? Simply a dream!

So, picture this: Courtney, our fabulous bride, and Dylan, the charming groom, first locked eyes at a Friendsgiving back in 2018. Talk about a meet-cute, right? It was football, food, and instant sparks. Courtney, a native of Des Moines, IA, works her magic as a Workplace Experience Manager, while Dylan, hailing from Omaha, NE, is the brainy Data Scientist. The perfect match!

Their wedding style? Imagine the elegance of semi-formal mixed with the relaxed vibe of something simple and fun. The color theme was like a breath of fresh air – sage, rosemary, and eucalyptus. So soothing and perfectly in tune with nature. And those bridesmaid dresses from Revelry? Absolutely stunning in those colors.

Now, let’s talk about the big day. Courtney kicked off her morning in the most chill way in the bridal suite at Crane Club at Tesoro. Dylan wasn’t too far away, getting ready with his crew in the groom’s suite. They planned an outdoor ceremony on this gorgeous veranda, but hey, Florida weather can be tricky, so they had a backup plan just in case.

Let’s chat about the unpredictable Florida weather for a sec. Leading up to the big day, the forecast was looking a bit iffy. Honestly, we were hit with the worst storm on Saturday, and Courtney was super worried her dream of an outdoor wedding might have to shift indoors. I mean, who wouldn’t be, right? But guess what? The wedding gods were totally on our side! Miraculously, we woke up to the most beautiful sunny skies on Sunday – it was like the storm had never happened! Courtney’s outdoor wedding dream at the Crane Club’s stunning verandah was back on track. Moments like these remind us to hope for the best, even when the skies seem gloomy. The day turned out to be nothing short of perfect, with clear skies and a gentle breeze. Talk about a fairytale ending!

Their Christian ceremony was heartfelt and beautiful, with personal touches like a private communion and a family prayer. They even did a first look before the ceremony, which was super sweet and intimate.

The reception was on the 3rd floor ballroom of the Crane Club. Now, this wasn’t just any reception – we’re talking about a night filled with delicious food (filet mignon, anyone?), dancing, and an ice cream sandwich bar! And their first dance to “Come to Me” by The Goo Goo Dolls? Total tear-jerker.

Courtney’s dress from Nicole Maree Bridal was a showstopper, and Dylan looked dapper in his tux from Cardita Formal Wear. The team at Kenny Mondo Productions kept the tunes spinning, and Flowers by Susan made sure every floral detail was on point.

After their fabulous wedding, the newlyweds jetted off to St. Lucia for their honeymoon – talk about a perfect ending to a perfect start.

If you’re dreaming of a wedding that’s a mix of elegance, fun, and heartfelt moments, Courtney and Dylan’s day is the perfect inspiration. It was a day filled with love, laughter, and memories that they’ll cherish forever. And honestly, isn’t that what it’s all about?

Wishing you all the love and happiness as you plan your special day!

The First Look

Now, let’s talk about one of my absolute favorite parts of Courtney and Dylan’s day – their first look. This wasn’t just any first look; it was a magical moment where time seemed to stand still. As they saw each other for the first time on their wedding day, away from all the hustle and bustle, the connection and love between them were palpable. You could see the excitement, the nerves melting away, and this beautiful sense of calm washing over them both. It was like they were the only two people in the world at that moment.

But you know what was really amazing about this? The first look gave Courtney and Dylan not just time to connect and soak in each other’s presence, but it also opened up a fantastic opportunity for portraits. The Crane Club at Tesoro is this gorgeous property with endless spots for stunning photo ops – from lush greenery to elegant architectural details. And because we had this lovely window of time thanks to the first look, we could really take advantage of all these spots. We wandered around the property, capturing their love and joy in the most picturesque settings. This kind of relaxed, unrushed photo session? It just doesn’t happen without a first look and ample time dedicated to those precious bride and groom portraits.

These moments, where they could just be themselves, laugh, cuddle, and share quiet whispers, were so authentic and heartwarming. It wasn’t just about taking photos; it was about creating memories that they’ll look back on and cherish forever. Trust me, a first look is more than a trend; it’s a chance to pause, breathe, and truly be in the moment on one of the most significant days of your life.

Amidst the whirlwind of the wedding day, there was a moment that truly tugged at everyone’s heartstrings – the first look between Courtney and her dad. It was one of those incredibly special and intimate moments that you just know will be cherished forever. As Courtney stepped out, looking absolutely stunning, the look on her dad’s face was priceless. There was such a mix of pride, joy, and a hint of bittersweet emotion. It’s these raw, genuine moments that really showcase the deep bond between a father and his daughter. Their first look was more than just a photo opportunity; it was a poignant reminder of the journey they’ve shared leading up to this day.
