A romantic, timeless wedding at Eau Gallie Yacht Club and Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church

From high school acquaintances to forever soulmates, Abigail and Matthew’s story came full circle in the most romantic way. Their wedding day at Eau Gallie Yacht Club in Indian Harbour Beach, Florida, was a heartfelt celebration of love, faith, and family, captured in the timeless, classic way they had always envisioned.

Abigail and Matthew first met back in 2016 through a mutual friend. They were teenagers from rival high schools in Melbourne, Florida. Life led them on different paths through college, but they found their way back to each other over Thanksgiving break in 2021. Their reconnection was instant. Within weeks, Abigail knew Matthew was “the one” especially after he woke up at 6 a.m. to get her cold medicine while she was visiting him in Miami. That tender gesture spoke volumes about his character, and it only deepened her already longtime crush on him.

Their first official date felt like something out of a rom-com: dinner at Grill’s in Melbourne, strolling through a holiday lights festival at Wickham Park, and a quiet, memory-making walk along the beach. By the end of the night, Matthew had seamlessly fit right into her family over a round of board games. It wasn’t just romance… it was home.

Abigail and Matthew’s faith played a meaningful role in their wedding day, beginning with a Catholic Nuptial Mass at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church in Indialantic. This beautiful coastal church provided the perfect sacred space for the couple to exchange vows in a heartfelt, traditional ceremony.

The bride looked stunning in a gown from Bridal Gallery of Orlando with a classic button-back design and flowing veil. She carried soft light-blue florals arranged by Julie Miner Events, perfectly tying in with the wedding’s light blue color palette and formal, elegant tone. Her bridesmaids, dressed in coordinated gowns from Bella Bridesmaids, echoed the romantic, timeless feel with subtle sophistication.

Matthew, dressed in a sleek tuxedo from Men’s Wearhouse, beamed with joy as Abigail walked down the aisle. His reaction was one of the groom moments we’ll never forget to photograph. It was one of those emotional scenes where time stands still.

After the ceremony, we made our way to the scenic Eau Gallie Yacht Club for portraits and celebration. Nestled along the Indian River, this venue offers classic nautical charm with manicured grounds and waterside backdrops ideal for couples seeking a romantic and refined coastal Florida wedding.

We captured family formals on the club’s picturesque property, including sweet multi-generational portraits and cousin group shots lovingly nicknamed “Nan’s Gang.” From golden-hour portraits under breezy palms to soft, veil-floating moments by the water, Abigail and Matthew’s images exuded the classic beauty they had dreamed of.

Their wedding party, with eight bridesmaids and eight groomsmen, brought joy and energy to the photos. Everyone looked stunning and perfectly on-theme, complementing the couple’s vision of fun elegance.

The reception was hosted back at Eau Gallie Yacht Club’s ballroom, where elegance met coastal charm. From the light blue details and soft florals to the crisp linens and thoughtful décor, every element reflected Abigail and Matthew’s refined taste.

Guests were welcomed with a cocktail hour on the club’s terrace overlooking the water. Abigail and Matthew were intentional about spending time with loved ones during this hour and they wanted to be present for every hug, laugh, and clink of glasses.

Dinner was a buffet-style feast with options for everyone including chicken, fish, steak, potatoes, and green beans deliciously satisfying and thoughtfully prepared. The newlyweds shared their first dance to “How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved by You)” by James Taylor, a song that perfectly encapsulates their joyful and affectionate relationship.

The reception continued with meaningful parent dances, heartfelt toasts, a lively bouquet toss, and of course, cake cutting. The cake, crafted by Brooke, was as beautiful as it was delicious. The entire evening felt like a true reflection of their love: classic, heartfelt, and so much fun.

As the night came to a close, guests lined the walk with sparklers in hand to send Abigail and Matthew off in a sparkling farewell. The glowing send-off was the perfect end to a day full of love, laughter, and legacy.

They’ll be jetting off to Jamaica for their honeymoon, a well-earned celebration of the start of forever.

Abigail and Matthew’s wedding was the epitome of timeless elegance with a relaxed, genuine warmth that made it unforgettable. Their love is rooted in family, tradition, and shared joy… and it was an honor to capture every bit of it.
